The rehabilitation of the pelvic-perineal floor has a relatively recent development and was created to meet the need to improve and solve some disorders which occur with the adaptation of the pevic floor to the different woman's body changes in life, due to hormonal and postural reasons. Consider a pregnancy or menopause or even the constant stresses during sports and physical activities. Often the psychological impact brought by these disorders is underestimated, but it negatively affects the quality of life of the women who even change some of their habits or give up some activities to avoid the inconveniences that they might have to face. Whatever is the problem to the pelvic floor, the physical therapy approach starts with a personalized assessment that leads to the generation of a tailor-made therapeutic pathway. The educational support on normal physiology and the use of a variety of Evidence-Based therapeutic/medical devices, such as electrostimulation and biofeedback, allow the patients to gain awareness on how to manage the problem more independently and to develop specific skills, both to solve the problem in the long term and to prevent relapses.
