Physical Therapist

Simone was born in Busto Arsizio in 1981.

He used to practice football from the young age and during adolescence, but the turning point is when he discovers his passion for swimming.

During the following 10 years, the swimming pool becomes his “home”, as a swimming coach first and as an athlete competing in the Master Circuit, where he manages to obtain several personal achievements through his determination and training adherence.

Still today he enjoys practicing various sports daily, especially openwater swimming, running, mountain biking, snowboarding, and trekking in the free time with his family and dogs.

Simone discovers his interest in physical therapy when he meets and becomes friend of a professional Physical Therapist, finding himself being interested in the principles of human movement.

In 2008 he decides to enroll in the BSc in Physical Therapy at the University of Varese where he successfully graduates with honor.

After his graduation, Simone choses to specialize in manual therapy (Maitland Concept) and from the beginning he starts working in a private medical center in Switzerland, being lucky enough to work with one of the most experienced specialist of the methods.

He has currently developed a good expertise and participated in various trainings focused on the orthopaedic and sports fields, achieving also a Certification in running-related injuries with the “Running Clinic”.

His desire to grow professionally in sports rehabilitation drives him in 2019 to move to Alto Adige (Italy), where for three years works at the Dolomiti Sportclinic, a sport-oriented traumatological clinic.

In this context, he has the opportunity to assist directly during some orthopaedic surgical procedures of different type and follow the rehabilitation of young athletes and also of professional elite athletes of winter sports, such as hockey, freestyle ski, bihatlon, etc.

Simone joined the Sports Rehab team in 2022.
