Physical Therapist

Francesco was born in 1986 in Varese and grew up in Viggiù, a charming town close to the Italian-Swiss border, where he still lives today with his wife and son.

Since he was a child, he has nurtured a strong passion for sport, especially for football, which he never abandoned.

After the high school, he attended the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the State University of Milan for three years, to then understand the best way for his future would have been enrolling in a Physical Therapy Bachelor degree - he then graduated at the University of Insubria in Varese in 2011. During his university pathway in medicine and physical therapy, he realized the relevance of clinical reasoning, scientific evidence, and clinical research in order to be actually able to implement effective approaches for patients.

Since 2014, he has been an integral part of the physical therapy staff of the Team Ticino association, an elite football selection headed by the FC Lugano, AC Bellinzona, and FC Chiasso football clubs. His duty consists in following the teams during the weekly training sessions at the Tenero Sports Center as well as being the team physio physical therapist of the U18 team during the weekend matches.

Along his working experience, he practiced in several PT centers in Switzerland, specializing in the sports field nonetheless practicing some specific techniques such as Dry Needling.

In his spare time, Francesco loves cultivating his hobbies such as family walks in the nature, practicing amateur sports, and playing music (clarinet, piano, and percussions).
